Shutter Card

So a few months ago the challenge was a shutter card. Here is what I came up with! We were supposed to make it with Black, White, Red and Pink...and so I did! I just chose to put the pink on the back!

This is the cute gift my secret sister gave me this month! I love this set and she did such a great job! I love how everything matches so perfect!

This picture does not do the cuteness of this justice, but I wanted to show off what she made for me. This is a picture of two onesies, one with a monkey and one with a fox. They are made from felt and hand sewn around. The larger monkey is on a blanket. They are SO cute and so well done! Thanks SSS!

On Saturday I got this cute card in the mail from my sideline Toni. I absolutely love this set and this card is so cute! She included two little butterfly toys for my girls-which they love! Thanks for thinking of us Toni!

If you cancel your reservation at least 48 hours in advance of the event there will be no cost to you. If you cancel within that 48 hours I will try and place someone from the waiting list, and if that works there will be no charge to you; otherwise you will be responsible for the class fee but you will receive the materials packet (with pictures by email) to make your projects. Stamping will not be done for you, so you may need to adjust the project slightly using what stamps you have available.

OK...so I took a few days off from blogging to spend with my new little one! I have to say, holding a brand new baby is one of the greatest things to do with your time! I am enjoying every minute of him.

Cat tails

Here is a card I did a while back with the inspired by natural set. This grass stamp is so versatile and I have seen it used so many times. The colors on here are whisper white, kiwi kiss, really rust, old olive and basic black. I spritzed the entire card except for the kiwi layer.

Black, white and shades of grey

I am not a big rose person, but the Lilly in this set sold me! To be honest I kind of fell in love with the rest once I got the set. I remember thinking when I saw the decor elements-Manhattan flowers-that I hoped they came out with a coordinating set. This set is Fifth Ave. Floral. The DSP is retired and the card stock is whisper white, basic black and basic grey. I embossed all the flowers, the ones on the black base were embossed in clear, then I colored them with a black marker so they popped a little. The two cut out of DSP were shaded with a blender pen and basic grey ink, then highlighted with white gel pen.

Hippo card

As most of you know we have a challenge at my moms down line meeting every month. A few months back now this was the card I made. To be honest I don't remember what the exact challenge was...it may have been the layout?!? The colors used are so saffron, basic grey, whisper white and ridding hood red.

Our New Little Man!!!!

Zavian is here! He was born yesterday-March 26th 2010, at 8:02pm. He is 7lb 14oz and 21" long. He is doing great and we will be going home tomorrow! I can't wait because I miss my girls.

Amazing

This was one of my favorite sets, and I was very sad to let this one go. Well I didn't exactly let it go, it just moved from my current cabinet to finding a home in my retired cabinet. I did this card a while back now, when it was still current, as a challenge card with my uplines group. The challenge was the colors. We could only use bold brights and two neutrals. Anyways this is what I came up with, it is just such a happy card!

Father's Day Set

It is always had to do anything masculine, and with Father's Day coming around the corner soon, I thought I would try to come up with a cute box and matching card. The DSP is To the nines, which is actually textured card stock. I hand cut the tie and shirt collar, added a button and used the word window punch(with my favorite teeny tiny wishes set) as my tie clip.

Easter Lily Tutorial

Step 1: Items Needed

Whisper white CS, 1/8" circle punch, linen thread, 5 petal flower punch, yellow ink pad, q-tip, spritzer, brown marker, and scissors.

Step 2:
Punch out two flowers and cut linen thread to 4" (per Lilly)

Step 3:
Cut one petal off each flower, and punch a 1/8" hole in the center of one

Step4:

Add yellow ink to the center of the flower with the hole punched out, spritz with brown ink to your liking, curl petals down with bone folder or scissors

Step 5:

Twist the petals around so that the edge two over lap, this will form a "cone" type shape. Attach with a single glue dot to hold together. For the flower with the hole punched, firsts fold you piece of linen thread in half and then half again. Insert the thread in the hole that was punched, and repeat the instructions above with the linen thread in the middle. See picture above and below for end results.

Step6:

Trim linen thread on top and bottom if necessary. Add two to three glue dots at the base of the flower.(on the linen thread flower only)

Step7:

Insert the linen thread flower into the empty flower, off setting the petals. press together to secure, add tombo liquid glue between the two flowers if you are worried about the separating.

You're a hoot!

I love owls! They are so cute and I am so glad they are so popular! Here is a square card I made with the Owl Together Now set. The DSP is retired and called Bella rose. I water color all of the owl images and used So Saffron, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, and Old Olive Card stock!

On Monday i had my normal club meeting-it was moved up a week due to the fact that I will be having a new little one soon and wasn't sure how it would work if we had it on the regular date. Well everyone came early and brought me a little something for the baby! It was very sweet and I love everything I got. Here are the hand made cards a bags I received! Aren't they so cute! Monday Night stamp club-March

Sorry about the late post! I thought I had this scheduled, but I guess with everything going on...I forgot! Here is the second project we did for stamp club this month. I love this little bunny, so I thought I would make him in white, milk, and semi-sweet chocolate! Put together with soft sage and to the nines DSP. March Club 3d project

So tonight is my stamp club. I always look forward to this evening. I decided to show the 3-d project we are doing tonight a little early! I will post the card and scrapbook page tomorrow. so here is a picture of the treat box we are going to do. Since Easter is just around the corner, that is the theme of the evening. I made the Easter lilies on the box from whisper white card stock and our 5 petal flower punch. Here is a close up of the flowers...Paper flowers are so easy to make and add such a nice touch to 3-d items

Polka Dot Gift Bag

Just the other day I posted about our annual stamp till you cramp event. Each guest in addition to the projects they make, door prizes they win and ideas they go home with gets a goodie bag! Since the them this last time was Celebrate the moments, I thought the celebrate you stamp was perfect as the center of the tag on the gift bag. I mad one sample of this bag then we all got together and mass produced a tone-one for each guest! I thought they turned out so cute!

Sandy's Birthday!

A good friend of mine, Sandy just celebrated her birthday on the 9Th of this month. Here are the adorable innovations and place settings she made for the event! Didn't they turn out cute? And of coarse since she made them, they were all perfect! Thank you Sandy for inviting me! I had great time! And when I got home, Aaron thought you had turning 10 years younger~

This is such a great set! Last October we had our annual Stamp Till You Cramp event in Thousand Oaks. It was a great success and a ton of fun. This is the set of cards I did for the group. So I found this cute gift card at Target the other day. I was planning on getting a gift card for my sister, because who can't find something they want at Target. Anyways, I figured why not make her card into a gift card holder...

A gift to Zavain

One of my friends and side line gave me a gift for our soon to be born little one. I had to post the adorable gift wrap and card she made me! Maria you are so talented! I absolutely love the thought and time that went in to this!

Carrot pouch

Today is an open house for my mom and my customers. I had posted the chocolate bunny tag earlier in the month for advertising it. Here is one more of the cute make-n-takes we are doing. I got this idea from leadership, someone(unfortunately I am not sure who) had made something similar to this as a swap. It was just to cute to resist!

A gift to me!

I have been really lucky! My secret sister is great! Here is a picture of the gift I got from her this month. I love tea so the mug and tea box she made are perfect! I don't know who she is yet(although I have a good guess) but Thanks to who it is!

Gift Card Holder

I don't do pink very often, but when I do I have to say one of my favorites is melon mambo! This is a gift card holder I had made for one of my girl friends for her birthday. I used to hate giving gift cards, and thought I had to find that perfect gift for everyone. Well now with two kids and # three on the way, I gave it up. They can find there own perfect gift, I will just give them the gift card to do it with, and package it with love :)

The DSP I used here is retired...I love black and white, so I am hoping that SU! comes out with a new black and white in the next catty!

Eggcoutrement

On Tuesday we held a stamp camp at my house-it was a very nice time. We made two sets of two cards, a spring planting tin, and a mini milk carton holder. I already posted a picture of the "bunny butt" card I came up with for the event, so here is the other card we did... I used the Eggcourtrement set out of the current occasions mini, along with teeny tiny wished set. The colors are chocolate chip, so saffron, and whisper white...I love the way these colors look together!

My Happy Birthday Girl

Here is my little birthday girl. She is quite determined to be a "big girl". My mom took this picture of her and I thought it was just to cute...look at those big brown eyes! So I decided to use it in my thank you cards.Here is a picture of the thank yous I made. I think they turned out pretty cute! I was determined to use my digital studio for these...keep a look out because I am using them for Zavian's birth announcements once he gets here :)

I am not sure why it is blurry, but here it is close up. I did the entire card front on MDS then layered it on tempting turquoise, and then layered on kiwi kiss(I miss that color). I punched out the words on the card and layered them on card stock as well, popping them up to give it more depth. So quick and easy!!!So back to the party...

Here is a picture of some of the cupcakes I made. Since it was a luau I needed to stick with theme! And cupcakes are so much easier then cake with little ones. I needed to keep it as simple as possible since I was making 40. I was happy with the way they turned out! And what really mattered is that they tasted good!Makai
