Mother's Day Gift
Each year I make my mom a "scrapbook" page in a frame of my kids. This year I decided to do it with all of the grand kids. I think this is such a cute picture of all of them and figured it would be perfect. She always keeps the page I make her framed by her TV for everyone to see. Since she has a lot of stamping events at her house I wanted to keep it current for the up coming catty!
The colors I used are Whisper white, Chocolate Chip, So saffron, and soon to be returning to the color palette-Wild Wasabi and Baja Breeze. I think this is a great color combo and works well with the set-Awashed with flowers. This set will be in the new catty!

Mother's Day Necklace Part 2
Happy Mother's Day!
As you probably saw yesterday, I had decided on a simply adorn necklace for a gift to my mom and mother-in-law for mother's day. Yesterday I show cased the charm I made for my mom. It has a bit of a vintage feel. So today I am showcasing the necklace I made for my mother-in-law. Even though they are completely different, I am happy with the way both turned out.
Here is a closer view of the front. I used a hostess set Of the Earth and popped up the flowers and butterfly. Since turquoise is one of her favorite colors I thought I would use baja breeze for the butterfly. The flowers are crushed curry and leaves are chocolate chip.
Here is a view of the back. Thanks for stopping by!

Mother's Day Necklace
So this year for mother's day I thought it would be nice if I made my mom and mother-in-law a simply adorn necklace. I decided on the 1"x1 1/4" size charm and attached it to a ribbon instead of the chain. I think it gives it a softer look.

The one you see in this post is for my mom. Since I am seeing her today for mother's day, I needed to have it done a bit early. I will be off to work on my mother-in-laws next.
I used Vintage Vogue and the Very Vintage wheel. The color palette is Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip, and Sage Shadow all stamped on very vanilla card stock. The flower is layered to give a little dimension onside the charm, and I added a vintage brad to the center.
Since it is for mother's day I added a little sentiment on the back. I took the teeny tiny wishes sentiment happy mother's day and marker-ed it in order to make it stack and fit in the charm. Wednesday, May 5, 2010

Melissa's Shower Gift
On Saturday I attended one of my sideline's baby shower. I had a great time! Here is the gifts I came up with.....
I took 5 onesies, 2 pj's and 2 pairs of pants and connected them to a rope with decorated clothes pins. It looked really cute when she pulled it out of the bag and it looked like a clothes line! All of the pieces coordinated and were the same color combos, above is a picture of two of the pieces.

Necklaces
So as I was wondering the isles of a local craft store, searching for something to use my 40% off coupon on I came across these amazing little acrylic charms. Instantly I was convinced I could make some cute jewelery out of these!
I took a piece of DSP, shimmered it up a bit with our shimmer paint, stamped an image or two, sponged the edges and cut them out. Then I took a thin layer of crystal effects to attach them!

May Challenge Card
So this month I had set the challenge for our Crazy Stampin Ladies. The card challenge was use orange, blue, brown and white or vanilla and make your best 3x6 card. You were to use all of these colors and only these colors. I can win this time, since it is my challenge, but I like to play around anyways! Here is what I came up with....
I would have to say it isn't overly challenge worthy, but it is cute!
I used one of my favorite sets, party hearty. The colors are night of navy, pumpkin pie, chocolate chip and whisper white. I really like the idea of these colors together that I am going to have to try it out with a few different shades!

Dad's Birthday
So earlier this month it was my dad's birthday. He is very much so a handy man, and is great at fixing and creating things around the house. SO for his birthday it was only appropriate to get him a home depot gift card. To be honest if I don't get him something along those lines, he is one of the most difficult people to shop for!
So I decide to make a little "tool" box to put his gift card in. I used retired Hodge podge hardware, the new log cabin smooch spritzer and real rust and close to cocoa cs.

Happy Birthday Cards
So this month it was two of my club members birthdays! I made up these two cards to give to them....Happy Birthday Theresa and Elaine!
I used the butterfly die cut and layered two of them together, one in So Saffron and the top one in chocolate chip. Added a bit of bling!

April Club Sweet Pea
I think I can speak for most demos and stampers that we are going to really miss the sweet pea dsp! This stack of paper is amazing, honestly it seems to have something for everyone! If you don't like one side, you'll love the other!
Here are the two options my group has this month. I made the tops of all the trees from our punches. Then hand cut templates for the bases, added a few embellishments, and you have a funky bright card good for so many occasions!

April 3-D club project
So I know I have been slacking a bit on posting! I hope that this won't be happening anymore. But in the world of having three kiddos, running a full time interior design business, having a husband and well eating and sleeping...sometimes other things take priority over stamping! I know it sounds crazy but it is true!
Anyways here is a picture of the 3-d project I will be teaching at my club tonight. I saw something similar to it on a blog...and do you think I have a clue which one it is? Nope! So I am so sorry to the original creator of this adorable bird in a nest!
I used the chip board bird from On board So Tweet, The sweet pea dsp, chocolate chip and so saffron cs, and the Flower Folds die. Hope you enjoy, and thanks for stopping by!

I really like this color combo-kraft,very vanilla, and soft suede.

Baby Zavian's Room
As you all probably know we welcomed our baby boy a few weeks ago. I have to say life with three is a little crazy, but in a good way:) If I just had an extra arm!
Anyways, here is a picture of the wall I decorated a bit in his room. I painted the tree in tan and added the stampin up owl out of current occasions mini. I had this cute wood piece that I wanted to put up so I added chocolate chip card stock, then a layer of tall tales dsp and applied our vinyl "Zz" to it. Added a bit of double stitched chocolate chip ribbon and there you go!
