Hydrangeas

So last month our amazing Julie won the card challenge. Which means she gets to pick the next months challenge to the group. And since she is pretty much known world wide for her roses, she decided on a 3-D flower card. That was all the restrictions she gave us, and let our imaginations run wild!!!

Well if you know me at all, I aim to think outside the box. So for this one I wanted to come up with something different then I had seen. Well we have a whole month to do our challenge, and well I finally did mine at 7 am the morning of our 9am meeting. But I must say I was pretty happy with the results!!! So here is my hydrangeas!

Magnet Board

I love the magnet board idea. In theory I would hang it up and put notes of all the things I have to get done, one by one accomplish them, and have this organized-never pay a late fee because the bill was buried in a huge pile-type life! Well since we all know that will never happen in my world-I figure I would make it pretty, that way when it is hanging up on the wall right above the pile I haven't touched, it will look good!

This is also my idea for a project at our next semi-annual stamp til you cramp! If you like it keep an eye open for more details to come!

stamp club may

So last months stampin success-a small magazine type mailer that stampin up send to us each month had the CUTEST monkey card in it!!! SO I decided to copy it :) I changed a few minor details-but over all it is the same card!
Since my club always has the choice between scrap book 12x12 page or a card and envelope-I come up with two samples each time. Here is the two together!

stamp club 3-d project

Hi Everyone! Well last month I showed all of my club the necklaces I had made from acrylic charms-they seemed to really like them so I decided to have them make them this month! I think they turned out pretty nice! The background paper is bella blue dsp, and we used the line image flowers from the elements of style set. water colored, added a spritz of vanilla smooch, attached with crystal effects and added some pretties kit and kraft taffeta ribbon!

Father's Day Set Stamp Camp

A little over a week ago we held a stamp camp at my house. It was a masculine theme with fathers day in mind! We made four projects all out of the "to the nines" ds-card stock . I really love this card stock...wonder if they will come out with any new printed card stock!? So here is what we came up with...an "enjoy" desk frame, gift card holder, a tie card and box-filled with peanuts :)

Here's a picture of just one of the card designs we'll be making - *Stamp Camp and Class Cancellation Policy - If you cancel your reservation at least 48 hours in advance of the event there will be no cost to you. If you cancel within that 48 hours I will try and place someone from the waiting list, and if that works there will be no charge to you; otherwise you will be responsible for the class fee but you will receive the materials packet (with pictures by email) to make your projects. Stamping will not be done for you, so you may need to adjust the project slightly using what stamps you have available.

A gift to my downline

So two years ago I signed up two of my good friends as my down line. Since it is there stamping up anniversary I had to make them a little something! So here is what I came up with... I took regular composition books and covered them with Kraft card stock, then stenciled! I used the Folk Flowers stencil from the occasions mini-even though the mini has ended that stencil is still available. I used our daubers with a combination of not quite navy, pumpkin pie, summer sun, ruby red, and old olive.

Cards for me!

So over the last few weeks I have received a few cards for a few different reasons. I love the thought that goes into hand made cards and they always make my day! Here is a belated birthday card that Maria sent me. I love the little flower vase!

Stencil Love

So have you all tried the not so new stencils? I have to say I have been using them here an there for a while...but lately I think I am in love! They are quick, versatile, and in my opinion beautiful!

So on a sad note-a good friend of mine lost someone very dear to her in a tragic car accident last week. Although I know that a card can't take any of the pain away, I am hoping it can at least bring a smile to her face knowing how much I care. Here is the card I created using the flower from the elegant trio stencils. The colors used are more mustard, close to cocoa, and summer sun ink. The card stock is more mustard and craft, spritzed with chocolate chip and then I added a chocolate chip ribbon.

Picture Day!

On Saturday we decided to venture out and get Zavain's Pictures taken! I must say it was an adventure! But I think we got some cute ones! My blue eyed baby! We will see if they last-but for now there are defiantly blue!I was so glad he was awake for some of them...

The kiddos! Three of the loves of my life! I love how Makai has one eyebrow raised-as if she is up to something! Knowing her she probably is :)

Mother's Day Gift

Each year I make my mom a "scrapbook" page in a frame of my kids. This year I decided to do it with all of the grand kids. I think this is such a cute picture of all of them and figured it would be perfect. She always keeps the page I make her framed by her TV for everyone to see. Since she has a lot of stamping events at her house I wanted to keep it current for the up coming catty! The colors I used are Whisper white, Chocolate Chip, So saffron, and soon to be returning to the color palette-Wild Wasabi and Baja Breeze. I think this is a great color combo and works well with the set-Awashed with flowers. This set will be in the new catty!
