Parks and Rec Class Wk 5
Woo Hoo! SO I started my next round of classes, the day before I left for convention.(Note to self-not the wisest thing I have ever done!) But it is a great group, so I am glad I did it. Here are the three cards we made the first week-week 5 for me!
So does this look familiar? Yes I cased it!!! I think this is the card in the mini that convinced me into putting in a level 2 worthy workshop! To cute!

Convention Swaps
As I mentioned a few days ago, we did a "roommate" swap at convention. I made the little butterfly pins for everyone in my down line and sideline that attended convention! I got some great gifts back!!! Check them out!
Here is a little different angle....
The fabric flower is a luggage tag from Julie, the gum holder was from Bobbi, the butterfly pin was what I made, the travel book was from Shawna, the tree box with candy from Sandi; The felt cup cozy was from Theresa; The green socks were from Maureen, and the decorated chocolate and card were from Toni! Thanks you all for the cute stuff!

Artisan Award Finalist
So I am back from convention in Salt Lake City. SO much fun!!!! But have you ever felt like you needed a vacation from a vacation? I came home to craziness! Well I guess it is nice to be needed!
So as most of you know I entered the artisan award contest this year. I was a bit bummed that I didn't win-but also felt like I could have given it a bit more. So it was nice to hear a congrats from my friend and side line Kathy that I had made finalist.
I unfortunately missed the awards night at convention. Had anyone mentioned I would be able to stand up among the other 21 finalist, I would have been ALL OVER it. But with my baby with me and being as tired as I was, we opted to miss. O'well, hopefully next year I can stand for the award not the finalist! So here are the ones who ALMOST won...congrats and congrats to the 10 winners!

Swaps!
So do you ever have those GREAT plans to get tons of stuff done...and then well life happens and you get 14 of the 3,326 things on your list done? Welcome to my life:)
I had this great plan. I would of course get my work done, house cleaned, laundry done and TONS of swaps finished before convention. Well my works was done, house..well its not so bad, laundry is waiting for me when I get back and I got 17 swaps done:)LOL
So here he is! My little owl post-it holder. SImple but cute:)
Here are the rest of them...and what the inside looked like. The ribbon holds the pencil in and the pencil is wrapped with dsp. The outside was created with the new play date file folders. I had fun making them, but boy that was a lot of punching!

Gifts for my roomates
So once again I open my mouth with an amazing idea...why don't we do a shoe box swap at convention AND make everyone in our group a hand made gift?!? Great idea, right? Well as much as it added to everyone's plate, it was well worth it! So this is the gift I made for everyone.
Its a butterfly pin, made of fabric and leather. I added the new vintage brads(which I absolutely LOVE) and a vintage tag with the initial of each person. I have had a few comments from convention goers so I hope you enjoy them like they did!

Here are some pictures of the goodies we made in preparation for our trip. Look at this cute file folder made into a notebook holder! And of course a matching gusseted envelope for my swaps!!! Which by some miracle I actually made. Check in tomorrow to see what I came up with!

Parks and Rec Class Wk 3
Hi Everyone! I hope you are all having a great Monday! I cannot believe that convention is just around the corner!!! I am so excited to have a few days out of town to relax and stamp-right-that is just how it will be:) I have a CRAZY week ahead of me, trying to compact all my work for two weeks into one! Plus I have two card classes before I go! Yikes! The things I do to myself:)
So Last Tuesday I had my third week of card class with Parks and Rec. Here is what we made...
Medallion card-colors are not quite navy, Sahara sand and soft suede. The card base is very vanilla.
Cup cake card-colors are pumpkin pie, chocolate chip and whisper white. Then I added a bit of glitter to the top!
Elegant butterfly card- colors are crumb cake, more mustard, basic black and old olive. The flowers are with water color crayons!

Flower Box
Last Saturday at our Crazy stampin ladies meeting Sandy did project. She had us make this adorable flower box. The flower and laves are made from the ornament punch! I love this thing...it has so much more to it then just an ornament punch. I would link you to her blog...but it's in the works! I will share once it is up and running:)
