Affection Collection

I made this keep sake box for my mom.  As you saw yesterday I make her pages each year of my kids, this year I decided to gift wrap it in a decorated tin that she could keep the old pages in.  I used a new set from the upcoming Holiday Catalog called Affection Collection!  This will be available starting August 1st to everyone.  

A gift for my mom

So every year I give my mom a shadow box page of my kiddos for Mother's Day.  This year I was a little late(well I was late last year to, but that is besides the point)  Anyways with the artisan entry and convention board samples I had a lot of creating to do, so I think she understood!  Here is what I came up with for her card...

I know it is similar to my club card, but since she told me she didn't like this set (papaya collage) I took it as a challenge to make her like it.  So I did the shadow box page with it as well!

June Thank yous!

I created these two little candy treats as "summer" Thank yous for my club orders this month!  I know I used a retired color (Bermuda bay) but it matched the skittles perfectly!!!  I also used a retired star punch:)  Somethings you just can't part with!!  Hope you all had a Happy 4th!  See you again tomorrow.

Parks and rec cards

I have started up another round of Parks and Rec classes!  It is great I have a full house.  I really enjoy teaching these classes, and since I have a ton of return visitors, I am guessing they like it as well!  I try to keep my cards for these classes a little more basic then club or my Cards and Cocktails class (which is coming up on the 13th of July-if you are interested be sure to email me)  I want everyone to feel successful and since there is a variety of stampers I try to not over complicate things.  Here are the cards we did for last class.

Friday night club card

So I LOVE this set...well there is actually four sets on this card, but I was referring to the Papaya Collage set!  I had to have it in the pre-order and finally got it out to play with.  Here is the card we made for my Friday night club.  Mondays will be a little different so be sure to come back and check it out!

Friday Club project

Last night was one of my club meeting.  It is my regular club and Monday is my advanced club, so stay tuned to see what we do to add to this project:)  I love these little "bags"  And I love the forth of July so...

Artisan Finalist

Happy Saturday!  It has been a long and busy week, but due to an exciting phone call I got  Thursday, it has been a good week:)  Stampin' Up! called to let me know I was selected as one of the 20 finalist for next years artisan design team!!!  (I just had to share the screen shot of the list)

This is pretty exciting news considering I thought I had to take an entire year off to enter.  In the past Stampin' Up! had rules that you could not win two years in a row, but late in the game they put an announcement out that they were changing this years rules and anyone including 2011 winners could enter.  It has been such a wonderful and exciting experience to be a part of the Artisan Team this year.  I have been a part of a great team of very talented women!  I look forward to the chance of being a part of this years team, especially with the honor of being on the "design team"  We will find out who is on the design team at awards night at convention.  Keep your fingers crossed for me!  Congrats to everyone else on this list as well!

Flag Card

This months challenge at my upline's meeting was do your best patriotic card.  That was a bit challenging since everything needs to be correct and there is not much in this current catalog that is patriotic.  So I came up with a flag!
